More than 20 of Australia’s sporting greats are set to attend the Brisbane Legends Lunch on Friday 19th October 2018 at Gambaro Restaurant & Function Centre for the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.
The high profile luncheon, hosted by comedian Vince Sorrenti and Fox Sports commentator Ben Ikin, will celebrate the country’s greatest sporting legends while raising vital funds for spinal cord injury research and a potential cure for paralysis, currently being progressed in Australia.
Featuring sporting memorabilia, auctions, canapés on arrival, a two-course lunch and beverage package, the exclusive event is an opportunity for sporting stars and clubs to unite under the one roof and collectively honour some of the nation’s greatest athletes.

Hosted by Channel 9 Sports Reporter Clint Stanaway at The Melbourne Cricket Ground, the event will feature special guest Emeritus Professor Alan Mackay-Sim and some of Australia's greatest sporting legends including Richmond FC's Dusty Martin & Captain Trent Cotchin!
Funds raised through this event will support The Spinal Injury Project led by Assoc. Prof Dr James St John at Griffith University where plans are underway to conduct a human clinical trial for people living with spinal cord injuries in 2020.

Kurt Drysdale a promising young Rugby League player injured in 2015 playing the sport he loves, is the inspiration behind this event and a proud Ambassador of the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.
Money raised will support the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation find a cure for paralysis for all. PCSRF funds critical spinal injury research at Griffith University where plans are underway for a human clinical trial. The therapy to be used in the trial was pioneered by 2017 Australian of the Year Emeritus Professor Alan Mackay-Sim.
