Now in its seventh year, the Brisbane Legends Lunch was once again a fantastic success, held at the stunning Black Hide Steak & Seafood by Gambaro at The Star Brisbane, Queen’s Wharf.

140 guests came together for an afternoon of great food, inspiring stories and lively entertainment — all in support of a cure for paralysis.

We are so grateful to our incredible event committee – Rob Douglas, Sarah O’Kane and Kaye Hastie – with special thanks to Brooke L. Douglas for her additional support this year. Your hard work and passion were instrumental in making the event such a success.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous Event Sponsor, Morgans, and to the Morgans Foundation for their wonderful contribution of $30,000 towards this important cause.

Our dynamic emcees Tim Horan and Ben Dobbin kept guests entertained throughout the afternoon, while our Legends — Bronwen Knox, John ‘Knuckles’ Connolly, Georgia Grey, Jai Opetaia, Tom Walvin, Ben Ikin, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Nathan Grey — captivated the room with their stories, insights and memorable sporting moments.

We also extend our appreciation to our dedicated volunteers. Their behind-the-scenes efforts ensured everything ran seamlessly. Thanks also to John Gambaro and his exceptional team for their outstanding hospitality and care of our guests.
