The vision that started it all
Perry Cross was just 19 when a rugby accident left him quadriplegic. But he refused to accept that paralysis was permanent.
Perry believed that with the right research, the brightest minds, and the support of a determined community, a cure could be found.
He showed the world what was possible through courage, resilience and investment in groundbreaking spinal cord research.
Today, that mission continues.

Yes, at the beginning of July each year you will receive a donation summary for your donations from the previous financial year.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, all donations over $2 are tax deductible. In July each year you will receive a donation summary for your tax purposes.
How can I get a copy of my receipt?

How does my monthly donation make a difference?
Today, thanks to an incredible community of Cure Comrades, the Foundation is helping advance innovative spinal cord injury research with the potential to restore function and independence. In 2025, we launched a world-first, fully funded cell transplantation and rehabilitation human clinical trial for 30 participants living with paralysis and we are currently recruiting and building the best research team in the world.
