Website News Preview (7)

During the month of April 2024 Dan Boardman (Perry’s carer) challenged himself run 30 kilometres every day for 30 days to acknowledge 30 years since Perry’s injury, and raise awareness to those living with spinal cord injuries.

Dan says ‘What the challenge highlighted to me is that good things are often very difficult and take a lot of time and hard work to be completed. All of this can be made easier with a positive attitude and a great team of people who support you.

I’m grateful to have an awesome team of people who helped me get through the challenge!’

‘I want to show appreciation to Perry for his unwavering focus to keep pushing forward and to never let past events define what can be done. Having worked alongside Pez for the past 5 years, we have had some amazing experiences and he’s helped me through many challenges. It has now become a very special friendship.

This challenge to is to raise awareness and much needed funds for the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation and for those living with spinal cord injuries.

I have short legs and I am not a runner but as some guy once said, ‘Everything Is Possible’. Love ya Pez’

Dan we thank you so much for taking on this arduous challenge and raising just over $6500, an outstanding amount!
