It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our cherished PCSRF Ambassador, Kurt Drysdale.
Kurt was more than an Ambassador for our organisation, he was also a passionate advocate, generous supporter, and a steadfast believer in our mission to find a cure for paralysis.
Perry first met Kurt when he was in the spinal unit in Royal North Shore Hospital in December 2015.
Once Kurt was back home, with the help of his family and community, Kurt organised a wonderful and very successful fundraising event called “The Bridge to Beach Fundraising Dinner” in Wollongong.
Kurt brought energy, integrity and heart to everything he did. Whether organising fundraising events, attending PCSRF events, speaking to organisations and groups to raise awareness about spinal cord injury, he embodied the values of our charity and inspired others to stand alongside us.
His commitment to find a cure for paralysis was unwavering. Through his advocacy and presence he helped raise awareness, foster meaningful connections, and strengthen our community.
Many of us will remember his cheeky grin and kind and caring personality. He brought so much joy to everyone who knew him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his parents, Sonya and Steve, his family, and everyone who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.
Kurt, like Perry, believed that “Everything is Possible” and he lived that belief in the way he supported the Foundation’s mission and our community.
His generosity of spirit and unwavering commitment will remain part of the Foundation’s story always.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
