Joanna Fowler a former school teacher, a public speaker, a wife and mum of two who fulfilled her dream to move from England to Australia, and who loved nothing more than getting outdoors and sharing adventures with her family. However, a single fall in 2010 altered the course of her life, redefining her role as a mother and a wife, and changing the future for her entire family.

Since her accident, Joanna, who has a positive outlook on life, has found ways to still enjoy the outdoors and have adventures in her wheelchair. She admits, while rehabilitation is tough, she gains so much from her gym sessions which helps her to gain strength and hope for the future.

Joanna longs to be able to hug her kids again, feed herself, and do the small things we take for granted.
