Meet the Rehabilitation Team – Georgia Hendy

Georgia (1)

My name is Georgia and I am an accredited exercise physiologist at Making Strides where I assist those with a neurological condition with their physical rehabilitation.

In my spare time I love being out in the sun with my gorgeous border collie dog, partner, family and friends. If I’m not at work or with family and friends, you’ll find me in the gym.

My role at Making Strides involves being on the trainer floor with the other staff, creating effective, interesting and fun exercise sessions for my clients.

It’s hard to pinpoint a favourite part to my job, but I think honestly the gym floor environment, music and the people that fill it. There is never a low day and every client is always so happy despite what they have to go through on a regular basis or previously.

My clients remind me every day that there is no reason to give up on your dreams and goals. There is always a way to get something done or a different way to approach it.

A cure for paralysis would mean hope and joy, to know that a client may be able to do just one task that would make their life easier or complete a single task on their own without a carer.
