For years, the Gold Coast community has witnessed firsthand the extraordinary impact of the Gold Coast Fundraising Ball & Golf Day. As this incredible chapter comes to a close, we want to pause, reflect, and share our deepest gratitude.
Behind these landmark events were Beric and Tina Lynton, Kyla Page, and an unwavering committee whose vision transformed generosity into tangible hope. Year after year, their tireless efforts extended far beyond a single cause, uplifting a wide network of local charities including Men of Business (MOB Academy), Gold Coast Community Fund, Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, Guide Dogs Australia, and the Animal Welfare League Queensland and Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.
We have been deeply honored to be among the beneficiaries of these wonderful events over the years. The funds contributed through these events directly fueled life-changing research within the Spinal Injury Project, advancing pioneering work toward a cure for paralysis. Each milestone in the lab and every step forward in our facility carries a piece of the committee’s legacy.
Though the 2026 Gold Coast Fundraising Ball ‘The Final Curtain’ marked the end of an unforgettable era, the impact of their dedication is far from over. True legacy isn’t measured in single moments, but in the enduring change left in its wake.
To bring this wonderful journey full circle, Perry was delighted to welcome Beric to Making Strides to accept a final, remarkable donation of $18,202. Seeing the community come together one last time to back our mission was a poignant reminder of what collective kindness can achieve.
