About
Dr Chris Vertullo is a proud Gold Coaster, having been raised and educated locally. He studied medicine at the University of Queensland. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian of College of Surgeons in 1999 he spent two years in further training at the University of Toronto in Joint Replacement and Duke University, North Carolina in Lower Limb & Sports Reconstruction.
Since returning to the Gold Coast in 2001 he has been actively involved in the knee sports injury management of four professional teams on the Gold Coast including the Gold Coast Titans NRL Team, Gold Coast United Soccer Team, and Gold Coast Blaze Basketball Team. Dr Vertullo has been a Basic Science Examiner for the College of Surgeons since 2004 and an Instructor for the Australian & New Zealand Surgical Skills Education and Training since 2005. He became an Associate Professor at Griffith University in 2003 and Bond University in 2004
