The Foundation is committed to building and retaining the best research team in the world to help to deliver a treatment to people living with paralysis.
The upcoming Nerve Bridge Transplantation and Rehabilitation Human Clinical Trial is an inspirational endeavour and we are focussed on recruiting, developing and retaining the world’s best researchers to ensure we stay at the forefront of innovation. To do this the Foundation is committed to raising $1.7M over the next three years to support key researchers at the Spinal Injury Project at Griffith University including:
Two Senior Research Fellows
A Senior Research Fellow is an experienced researcher who plans, directs and oversees a dedicated research team within the Centre.
Two Junior Research Fellows
Junior Research Fellows are recent PhD graduates who have demonstrated they have imagination and high aptitude for discovery and translational research. They work closely with the Senior Research Fellows to drive the research by conducting specialised analyses.
Five PhD students
PhD students are the powerhouse of discovery research. A dedicated and high-profile scholarship can be used to attract the very best applicants via a worldwide search. Our recruitment strategy is to bring in people with new ideas and new perspectives who can discover something that we have not yet thought of.
You have the opportunity to play a part in medical history. This research will improve the quality of life for people suffering with paralysis.
We are now urgently seeking philanthropic partners to help us recruit, develop and retain the world’s best researchers to ensure we stay at the forefront of innovation.
We need the support of like-minded people who are inspired by the potential for this research. We invite you to reach out and join us on this journey of discovery to recovery.
